Albemarle Simply Red is a Bordeaux-style blend made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Tinted a brilliant, intense ruby red, the wine exhibits soft tannins, medium density with a complex mineral expression. There are nuances of blackberry, black currant with delicate licorice, vanilla smoky and spicy notes.
A nice, balanced wine with finesse and persistence that is best when served at approximately 65 F, Simply Red is an ideal companion for appetizers like beef carpacio, baked brie, salads, pizza, French-American cuisine and with cheeses.
